Špindlerův Mlýn is the most famous and most searched recreational and sports mountain resort in the Krkonoše Mountains. Tourists, who visit Špindlerův Mlýn in the summer, have many opportunities for active use of leisure time. In summer surroundings of Špindlerův Mlýn offers over 180 km of hiking trails that are marked on tourist maps of Krkonoše Mountains. Each of them provides an opportunity to fresh up in a pleasant atmosphere of tourist restaurants or buffets. For more demanding there are available edge hike trails, you can be comfortably transported to their beginnings by cable railway Na Pláni (1182 m) and Medvědín (1235 m).
For lovers of mountain biking Špindlerův Mlýn offers over 100 km of marked cycling routes, for more information see cycling maps of Krkonoše mountains. Riding outside marked routes is strictly prohibited. For the groups are also provided bike trips with guides. Please respect all restrictions and marked routes, because you are in the national park of Krkonoše mountains.
Water reservoir of 40 ha in the Špindlerův Mlýn - Elbe reservoir offers ideal conditions for fishing, which is possible since the beginning of May till the end of August, permits are issued by the Administration of forest district Labská and municipal authorities. In the spring there are ideal conditions for rafting. Hardy individuals may swim in the reservoir, less hardy can rent a boat, or use offers of hotels in Špindlerův Mlýn and swim in hotel pools, which are available for public.
