Špindlerův Mlýn is the most famous winter sports center in the Czech Republic. It offers ideal conditions for downhill and cross country skiing in winter. There were built several ski slopes of all difficulty levels and cross country tracks. Downhill courses are equipped with modern snowmaking system, which allows good skiing up to 5 months of the year.
Pension Karolína in winter season Four chair lifts are in operation, one of two chairs (Svatý Petr), one of three chairs (Hromovka) and two of four chairs (Svatý Petr and Medvědín) and 11 lifts. The total transport capacity is about 18 000 people, who can use just about 25 km of ski slopes with 85 tracks artificially snowed.

There are several ski equipment rentals in Špindlerův Mlýn for disposal of visitors, who arrive without skis.
These rentals also offer the possibility of implementing the complete service work on ski equipment. Purchased season tickets are valid throughout the territory of Špindlerův Mlýn and Horní Mísečky. Skiareál Špindlerův Mlýn a.s. is the main organization, which ensures the operation and preparation of most ski terrains in Špindlerův Mlýn.
Cross country skiing in Špindlerův Mlýn
Surroundings of Špindlerův Mlýn also provides suitable conditions for cross country skiing. There are about 100 km of prepared and marked trails for classic and skating for fans of cross country skiing. Twenty six kilometers of these trails are suitable for holding events.
Starting points are running stadium Horní Mísečky, Lesana Hotel, junction of White Elbe and Elbe, ski resort Svatý Petr, buffet Na Pláni. Cross country tracks in length of 130 km are marked in the edge for demanding winter tourism. In winter tourism map of Krkonoše Mountains you can find more detailed information about these tracks.
When the lower layer of snow, there is limited the movement of cross country skiers in some tracks due to protection of nature, so please respect the information boards.
